An excellent companion piece to Succubus. Hi there, love this film and love the blog! This film totally re-configured my impression of Franco, and got me hooked on his stuff. Previous to that I'd only seen 'Doriana Grey', but once I saw this baby, everything else started to make some kinda sense. I really like how Franco always has 'psychic sex demons' in his films, a kinda unique and sexy 'monster' and dare I say it, never dull on the eyes! Watching it again, I believe that David Lynch was influenced in several ways by this film when he was shooting Twin Peaks.

I had been working through the few films of his that I could find, and before Venus in Furs the only one that had stood out to be was Virgin Among the Living Dead -- but Venus in Furs was different. Venus in Furs was the first Franco film that I got truly excited about.
